Since 2010, the Common Vision Coalition has collaborated with many Redlands based organizations to enact policy changes in order to develop a healthier and more engaged community.

Our Mission

“Changing lives through public and private collaboration to create healthy neighborhoods and proactively engage youth, families, and community leaders.”

The Common Vision Coalition is a grassroots community organization formed out of the 2009 writings of the North Redlands Vision Plan, which addressed reccomendations to the City of Redlands about revitalizing neighborhoods, businesses, and private properties. We are dedicated to our community of Redlands, emphasizing the need to create healthier communities, engage youth, and provide safe events for our youth to attend.

The Common Vision Coalition is a partnership made up of residents, community groups, faith-based organizations, and other nonprofit organizations. Our main focus is to collaborate and work with other organizations that have similar missions so that resources are not duplicated.

From 2011-2015, the Common Vision Coalition responded proactively to the increased number of homicides in North Redlands and began to address community concerns of:

  • Feeling unsafe

  • Distrust amongst neighbors

  • Disconnection to resources

  • Drug traffic issues

  • Underage binge drinking

Continuous efforts:

  • Collaborate with partners

  • Educate community members and help them identify needed resources

  • Conduct community cleanup efforts

  • Identify negative trends that affect young people and provide preventative education
